It was a real treat to be able to celebrate Holi today with the Croydon Cricket Club and the wider Croydon Indian community.
Holi is a Hindu spring festival, known as the "festival of colours" or the "festival of love". The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.
Croydon's Bengali Association - Spandan - will be holding another Holi gathering this coming Sunday 24th March in Park Hill Park, all are welcome for what will certainly be a fun and colourful celebration!
