The Government has today announced an extra £970m to fund our incredible police force.
On top of that, the Chancellor outlined his plan to put another £100m to specifically help tackle knife crime. That funding will be available from this April.
It’s vital police have the resources they need to crack-down on the rising levels of knife crime. I'm pleased the Home Secretary has listened, which is why this money will be targetted in the hardest hit areas.
