Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. The incredible charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.
From advice on their site, through to free, confidential chats with their helpline staff, online or on the phone, they’re here for whoever needs them, every day. No matter what.
They need support raising the cash to be able to keep funding their vital work - that's why I'll be taking part in the The Lost Hours Walk in October for CALM.
Every year, as the clocks go back, thousands of people walk forward, together, against suicide. It’s our opportunity to deal with grief differently and defiantly, smash the silence around suicide, and remember our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, partners, loved ones and friends.
Me and a team will be walking 10 miles through the night in London to fundraise for this important cause.
If you can spare it, please do donate to support the charity. £8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
