A letter to Sarah Jones, Labour MP for Croydon Central
Dear Sarah,
Many thanks for replying to my letter. I’m afraid though that within your response you don’t appear to have answered my question.
I was keen to hear your position on whether you support a second referendum and, apart from saying that ‘all options will stay on the table’, it doesn’t appear clear where you stand.
Since receiving your letter, Labour has formally asked for a vote in Parliament “to hold a public vote on a deal or a proposition”.
Your fellow Shadow Housing Minister, Melanie Onn MP, says she will not vote for a second referendum and that if it is whipped she’ll resign her position. What would you do?
In the interests of unambiguous clarity for your constituents, are you willing to answer this question:
Do you personally support a second referendum?
I look forward to your clear reply.
Many thanks,
Mario Creatura
Conservative Candidate for Croydon Central
